1. Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Charlie, 34 years old and I’m a yoga teacher and energy healer. I like to teach all aspects of yoga so my students have a holistic experience and learn that it is not just about the body, we integrate the mind and the spirit in all that we do so we can lead s happier more congruent life.
2. What made you get into your profession
I never planned to do this- I did my yoga teacher training to learn more about the practice after I had been practicing for 10 years. I loved to philosophy and wanted to embrace the yogic lifestyle. Shortly after I returned from my training in India, I was asked to cover a few classes and started teaching a couple of weekly classes. Which developed into me doing more training around teaching children, teens, elderly, people with restrictions. Next thing I know I’m teaching part-time, then full time.
3. If you were not a Yoga teacher, what would you have been?
Perhaps a counsellor or psychotherapist (I’m currently doing an MA in Psychodynamic Music Therapy)
4. Can you give our readers your favourite top health/fitness tip?
Drink warm water with lemon first thing in the morning. Best thing to help you empty the bowels and start the day fresh. Clear bowels are so important for thinking clearly and being effective in your everyday life.
5. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Go to a yoga class, I’ve never come across anyone who ever regretted going to a yoga class – one of the best things you can do for yourself.
