I recently discovered Coconut Oil – when I say that, what I actually mean is I’ve been aware of Coconut Oil but never used it in my cooking before!
When I started my Personal Training sessions, I discussed nutrition with Cy. I wanted to take it really seriously so I went to Sainsburys (as you do) and bought a range of healthy things, Flaxseed, Almond Milk, Salad etc.
I never realised that there was such a huge range of oils before as I usually head straight for the Olive Oil! This is where I discovered Lucy Bee!
After the initial shock of the price change from Olive Oil (I just need to point out that Lucy Bee is actually the most reasonably priced Coconut Oil I have seen), it retails at £6 for a 300ml Jar, I grabbed it and added it to my shopping basket!
I tried it with scrambled eggs first and it was awesome! It smells amazing and tastes so good too! Lucy Bee is a nutritious dietary oil made from organically grown coconuts and a Fair Trade product. This means they help to improve workers’, farmers’ and producers’ quality of life. So you’re left with a real feel good factor when you buy as well as investing in great tasting food!
I’ve completely replaced everything that I used to use Olive Oil in and the flavour is truly amazing! One of my favourites is wilted greens – a great accompaniment with any meal!
I’m currently in the process of writing a Cookbook and a lot of my recipes use Lucy Bee – I wrote to Lucy and told her how much i loved her product and explained about my book, she very kindly sent me some Lucy Bee Coconut Oil to use and she also agreed to be interviewed!!
