Social Media Posts – When and Where!


Social Media is where it’s at if you want to get ahead in the marketing game!

Flyers and newspaper adverts are old school and worse still, pretty pricy a lot of the time!

If you’re starting out in the Dance & Fitness Industry for the first time or even if you’re a veteran, you may find Social Media a little daunting when it comes to promoting yourself!

Do you find yourself posting sporadically and not getting much engagement?

Spending hours on Facebook without really getting anywhere?

Are you unsure what to post or where to post it?

We could all use a little help when it comes to Social Media Marketing and I’ve put together a Beginners Guide that you will find invaluable!

All you need to do is set aside a little time to create some images, source some clips and with this guide, you’ll be set! There are various apps and websites out there where you can create images for free, don’t forget to customise them with your website address/contact details!

I use Canva to create images, its simple to use and best of all, it’s FREE! There are other apps such as Pic Monkey, be sure to check that the images you are using are copyright free or even better, use your own!

This guide assumes that you have a basic knowledge of Social Media and accounts on Facebook, Pinterest & Twitter, don’t worry if you haven’t, this guide will still be effective used on just one channel!

There’s an individual guide for everyday of the week, it tells you what to post, when to post it and where to post it, it couldn’t be simpler!

Sunday is Newsletter Day – I will cover Newsletters in more detail in a separate post but i cannot stress enough how important it is to build a mailing list!

Social Media is a very powerful advisory when it comes to self promotion but you should never rely on it fully, not all of your students may be on Facebook or Twitter and so you need to make sure that you have another way of reaching them.

Set up a folder on your Smart Phone/iPad or Tablet/Laptop for your images and create a word document/notes to keep a log of any YouTube Clip addresses you want to use so that you don’t have to look for them every time you want to post.

It really is as simple as that, give it a go and let me know how you get on!
